Food Baskets Against Covid-19
Helping the city we love during the lockdown
The starting point
On March 13th 2020 our country and many more stopped, while our people in hospitals couldn’t take a minute to rest. In Barcelona and the rest of Spain businesses had to remain closed, people couldn’t get outside and, as always, the more vulnerable were suffering the most.
what we did
- + Strategy
- + Management
- + Logistics
- + Content creation
- + Communications campaign
goals
Helping those in need during the start of the pandemic, so they could stay home, preventing them from getting sick and hence helping to diminish the pressure on Barcelona’s Healthcare System.
Our move
We had no projects to work on, we had to remain home, and we had no clear vision of our future as a company. But we just could not stand still. We had the best team, we had big ideas, we had great clients who were eager to do something, and mostly, we had the will to help in any way we could.
And so, we did.
Implementation
In a matter of days, we managed to get the Government, the National Post Office, the Media and our clients to send more than 220 tons of food to the homes of those who had the biggest risk if infected with Covid-19. 200.000 boxes were delivered all around Barcelona. In all, more than 600 volunteers worked together from picking vegetables, to sorting products, assembling and delivering boxes.
